After much discussion between the Web Geeks we are switching our web site to Pitchero. To prevent every Tom, Dick and Harry and various web weevils from accessing the new site and making your new Web surfing experience a less than pleasurable one, you will need to register to the new site. A panel of webmasters will then vet you and decide whether or not you are Vigo RFC worthy and then accept your membership. We hope you enjoy your new experience with Pitchero.

Sevenoaks IV 36 Vigo A 0 PDF Print E-mail

Vigo crashed to a heavy defeat to the League leaders but had much to be pleased with. Torn apart by injury and unavailability, Vigo turned out a team but they proved to be no match, eventually, for a very good Sevenoaks outfit.  For the opening quarter Vigo held their own, but too often, a woeful final pass ended any hope of breaking through the solid Sevenoaks defence. Eventually, Sevenoaks class emerged and they began to turn the screws on the visitors. Jakob Lisiewski tackled superbly in midfield but could do little as Sevenoaks broke out against the run of play to score a converted try. The home side, encouraged by the score, took control of the match, and from then on, it was as much damage limitation as anything else for the beleaguered Villagers.

They still strove but lack of support ended Vigo’s sporadic break outs in which Carl Nightingale and Darren Cox featured. The core of veterans in the side are in desperate need of some youthful vigour, which Andy Carslaw’s good youth side may well offer in the near future.
